Greta
Donahue
For
two decades Ms. Donahue has worked extensively with parents,
students and teachers on many levels.
As a
social services liaison to state government services for parents
and children, she has been an advocate for teaching parents
appropriate skills on how to be positive and effective as
parents.
As a
mediator, she has implemented school peer mediation programs
and conducted workshops to foster better understanding among
school and community constituencies. Empowering students to
make better decisions relative to dispute resolution and to
teach them skills and provide them tools necessary to make
better decisions in everyday situations has been a constant
objective.
As past
president of two independent school parents' associations
in the middle and high school grades, she has had the privilege
to work with parents, heads of school, development officers,
faculty and staff to assist in promoting multicultural, fund-raising
and community programming.
In the
recent past, Ms. Donahue has been honored to serve as trustee
in an independent middle school and continues to serve as
trustee at an independent high school. She has a daughter
who is a junior in college.
