Vision Statement

ParentsAssociation.com is an online communication and information center for parents and guardians of adolescents to discuss topics relative to helping teenagers become adults. We present articles, links, and a forum for discussing issues and sharing ideas.

Our site features materials which provide in-depth discussions of a wide range of topics, such as educational issues, college admission, college life, health, nutrition, substance abuse, sexuality and other pertinent areas.

Since one of our purposes is to promote dialogue between adults and teens, we include material written by high school and college students, as well as by professionals. It is our intent that parents utilize our site as a guide in assisting their sons and daughters to make informed choices for the life challenges they face.

Our website includes an annotated bibliography of links to other websites on related topics. We update the bibliography regularly to incorporate the feedback, which is provided by those visiting our site.

Through our forum, visitors to the site are invited to pose questions, express opinions and offer comments.

Embedded in the concept for our website, is our philosophy of offering highly informative, insightful material, while presenting many points of view. We strive to maintain a sensitivity to the needs of diverse families, and we are committed to presenting material pertaining to issues of multiculturalism, gender bias, and racial diversity, and to make our resource readily accessible to families with limited time to search for information on their concerns regarding their children's well-being.
